Mandy and I went out to the Low Dez yesterday for some much needed personal shooting. OH. MY. GAAHHH. Absolutely gorgeous. The Salton Sea was supposed to be a huge tourist destination back in the first half of the 1900's, but flooding, disease and eventual evaporation of much of the water has forced it into the desolate state in which it now remains. We're planning a trip back to explore even more of the sea in a few weeks. I can't wait!!

Hiking hiking hiking hiking!

I took Angel up to the hills of Malibu for another hike. It starts just off of Sunset, up in the hills and kicks your ass for the first mile, but after that it's smooth sailing :) We went just after the rain, so the sky was actually clear. Views of downtown LA and Catalina Island in a beautiful 360 degree view of Los Angeles are hard to find anywhere else. Definitely one of my favorites!

Resting before we made our way down.

We began with 8.. and ended with 4. Ok, so I didn't remember exactly how tough this hike was. Kelly and I backpacked this bad boy back in May and then went an additional 3 miles to our campground. Sooo.... i figured it couldn't have been that bad! It was definitely a challenge, but well worth the sweat once we got the the top :). Next time we'll find something that meets everyone's needs. Sorry about that Sifty!
