My girls identify with these ladies. Dorothy=Mariko (tall, anal and controlling.. her words :) Blanche=Becky (free spirit who likes the men) Rose=Emily (kinda ditzy.. in a cute way) and Sophia=Stacey (little & sarcastic.. he he).. this according to Mariko, who didn't know i was going to quote her... We can also be equated to the sex in the city girls. Carrie=Mariko Samantha=Becky Charlotte=Emily and Miranda=Stacey. sweet. i don't watch that one very often, so you draw your own conclusions.

By the way, we're on our way to Miami in 2 days.

Dad's t-bird (2002)

For Father's Day dad wanted to go to yet another car show.. Which I LOVE!! There just happened to be one in downtown Brea, his new home :) We checked out all of the super cool old cars and dad pointed out his favorites, the ones he used to have when he was young, the ones his dad had.. etc. Good times. I think sometimes he treats me like a son, and I'm ok with that!

Emily has never heard of the concept of a bridal shower, let alone been to one! So, we weren't quite sure what she was expecting... hopefully it exceeded those expectations. We had a blast preparing for it and throwing it, and we hope everyone enjoyed themselves. Thanks to all of the mommas who helped out, we couldn't have done it without you! Congrats Em!!

We took the bus back to Monrovia when we were down the mountain!



Kelly had the most amazing idea last week... let's go backpacking!! Of course i had to say 'I'm in!'
We hiked up into the Angeles Forest above Pasadena for 3 days, carrying our 40 lb packs on our soon to be sore backs. ;) The views were amazing, the quiet was intense, the nights were dark, the inclines were strenuous... every muscle in our bodies was in searing pain! But the payoff was way worth it. I love getting out of the city and into nature. It's my only escape and I cherish the times I'm able to get away. Thanks Kelly for a beautiful weekend!!
