On wednesday we went to the Los Angeles PUG party at Life on Wilshire. THere were a ton of awesome local Pictage Photographers there. This group is led by Jules Bianchi. She posted some awesome images from the night on her blog.



Thursday Dave, Lisa, Kurt and I headed up to the Santa Barbara party to check out David Jay's house. There was a 'photo booth' set up where we all took turns getting funky in our ugly sweaters. The Santa Barbara PUG leader is Kacie Jean. This was such an amazing place with company and conversations to match. Thanks so much for having us DJ!!

cancer sucks. it's not fair for good people to be struck by such an incapacitating, terrible disease. it's even less fair when there's no family history and no warning signs. you're in my thoughts and i'll do everything in my power to help you through this time. love you Beth, take care of your mom..

have you ever stopped talking to someone.. and not really known why? it sucks. so you try to avoid them, and they try to avoid you and everything gets really awkward. it starts to affect your dreams and you have this feeling that you really need to re-establish contact. so you do it. you reach out. you feel like a jackass because you're not even sure what the problem was in the first place. well, the other person feels just as much like a jackass as you do. and you feel better now that you've made yourself vulnerable. and they feel better because it's been weighing them down too.

LA Auto Show

Went to the car show with Dad, Charles and Tracy and their 5 kids. Josh, Andrew, Daniel, James and little Katie. Of course the oldest child got lost - twice. but for the most part it was a good time. I'm not really used to hanging out with kids all day, so it was kind of challenging :) Gotta love the Lewis family..

Thanksgiving with Mom

Mom and i hung out at my condo and cooked an awesome lunch together. It was reallllly great to just do something normal with her. usually we have to plan something exciting like a trip to the museum or arboretum or a hike.
Thanksgiving used to be all about the process of cooking the meal and serving it to 25 friends and relatives. It was such a fun family gathering where everyone had a blast. Now it's about spending time with the few relatives that are left in California, no matter what we do...

M. Ward

Scot took me to see M. Ward on Saturday. It was completely awesome.. inspiring, smooth, kinda deep.. not my usual genre, but i'm extremely glad i went :)

Lisa and Emily are my partners in crime. An hour does not go by where we don't have each other rolling about thermometers or something similar.

We went down to Irvine for the 80's cartoon character party at the Sato house. whoa, so odd that now they're BOTH Satos! Lots of awesome costumes - shaggy, flinstones, mario and luigi, care bear, wimpy.. etc. Japanese people are the BEST! Stacey, Mariko and i did our best to fit in =)

Palm Desert

what a great weekend! i got to hang with my pal scoty! again for the first time in years. He took us up to Pioneertown (yea, i've never heard of it either) to see a kick-ass show/ halloween ball at Pappy & Harriet's. The main event was Gram Rabbit - which i must say ROCKED. Sunday was all about baseball.. which normally isn't my thing... but i must say i enjoyed the hell out of it. thanks buddy.. :)

i miss this place. Got to hang with Mandy and Kelly just like old times. 211 wal-NUT. Mandy and i went out with LeeAnn to this Black & White party. whew.. did we ever party, i haven't danced that much to that many songs in a row with that many different people in .. well, probably ever.
When mandy and i got home, we decided to wake up kelly by jumping on his bed at 2am. i think he appreciated it though :)

What a rad hike! The clouds rolled in on our way up the hill and Ian and i had to hike back down through them. This time the great views were different - to the extreme.

Miramar Air Show

ohmygah. heaven - simple. This was the most awesome show! Mom, Tiff & i explored the military aircraft before the show, which was amazing. My cousin Tiffany and her boyfriend Randall showed us around the base and gave us the inside scoop.
