"Camping" 6/29-7/1

Mandy's family has a cabin/campground up outside of Yosemite. It's so extremely beautiful up there, with the trees, hiking trails, streams and rock formations. Kelly brought his quad and we tore around on that for a while - SOOO much fun! Then we went hiking and i swam in the stream for a while. What a beautifully relaxing, awesome weekend... i didn't want to return to day to day life

San Diego 6/13-6/14

Remember Fed?? He was down in SD for a few days so I skipped work and made a road trip. Jetskiing in coronado bay and pretending to be high class hotel guests were only the beginning. Not a bad recovery from my root canal!

We partied like rockstars all weekend long. I don't think i stopped drinking for 72 hours! Congrats Tine :)

Guess what?!

So, I went to the shooting range for the first (and second) time.. I did alright, I'd say. My dots are the pink ones on the left and the orange ones on the right. I went in for my written test last night for the LAPD. I'm well on my way now! I'm scheduled for my initial background interview in a couple weeks and my initial physical in a couple more. !!!!!!!!! I'm beyond excited. :) Thanks Tom for all of your help and advice!

Today i gave platelets again for what seems like the 50th time. (could be, actually) I found out that I'm once again a directed donor. Some cancer or lukemia patient who knows where is a perfect match with my blood. It's amazing how that made me feel. This person would not survive without numerous transfusions from a specific blood type and subtype. i don't even know how it all works. I just know that with 2 pricks of a needle and a couple hours time, i've saved someone's life. Plus i get to watch a movie and eat cookies afterwards. heh.

Such a great trip! I'm still in pain from landing on my head repeatedly while snowboarding. We played tennis on nintendo Wii all night while drinking and playing poker. Ahh to be young. and of course it snowed on our way OUT of town.
